Data Use & Protection Policy

This is an agreement made between (The Barbados Blog, a subsidiary of SunStar.Ent.Int) hereafter referred to as, the domain administrator, and visitors to sunstarbarbados.blogspot.com, hereafter referred to as, the (user/users). The domain administrator remains steadfast in its commitment in the protection and proper handling of users personal data, in accordance with the regulatory stipulations of the (DPA) and the European Union's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK. 

The (DPA) and (GDPR) requires that any use of personal data by the domain administrators and or third-party Partners, must be limited to the terms of the following agreement:


  • The domain administrator agrees that data will only be collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes only, and therefore will not be used in a manner that deviates from these stated terms

  • The domain administrator agrees, to take every precaution to ensure the safe handling of users data in accordance with the regulatory requirements stipulated by the (DPA)

  • In relation to the (GDPR) protocols, the domain administrator states, that the website operates  according to all the fundamental principles of, Lawfulness, Fairness, and Transparency in every instance regarding the handling of users data


The Barbados Blog is monetize for ad revenue through external sources e.g. (Google Ad Manager, Ad Exchange, Ad Mob, and AdSense) in most cases our third party partners operates as independent controllers of personal data, to enable them to deliver a more personalized service to users in the interest of improving the user experience with each visit, e.g. testing ad, service algorithms, monitoring end-user latency, and ensuring the accuracy of forecasting system and such like. 


Additionally, the Barbados Blog also uses data to improve the quality of service deliver to users across our platform, which we mostly obtain through cookies on our website, and also from third party sources we partner with like Google analyst.

About Oistins Town: Oistins town is located in the parish of Christ Church on the south coast of Barbados and is home to a relatively vibrant fishing community.
